                                             I am Lesley Trafford, owner and designer at The English florist .

         I have been in business since 1999 and have loved every minute of this journey, creating and designing wedding flowers for that special day.

 

                                    Yes, I am truly English and come from the NW of England, near Manchester.

        I have spent many happy hours in flower shops both in Newcastle upon Tyne on the NE coast of England  and then in Tarentum, Pennsylvania, USA,                                                                                             before moving down to Lake Jackson in Texas.

 

                          My designs are very English in their form.  It's a very natural, garden style, with hand tied bouquets being the typical wedding bouquet.

                                               I am often complemented on how natural and hand picked my arrangements appear.

 

                                        Specializing in wedding floral design, I love to say that I create ' Art for a day' ,

                                                    for that is exactly what it is...... art... my work is a work of art that unfolds as I create your bouquets,                                                                                                                  layering textures and flowers together , watching the bouquet appear in my hands.

                                                         I love to weave God's glory into your  flowers, and take joy from what He puts together.

 

                      I am passionate about different flowers , textures and foliages, and love to see how they all fall into place and complement each other.

 

                        Each and every bouquet is made with love, and each and every one is different... just as you are. 

 

                         I try to capture your style and personality as I work with you to choose and design your wedding day flowers... I hope I succeed,

                             as this is one of the most important days of your life, and your flowers will be in your photographs for the rest of your life;

                                  try not to compromise your bridal party flowers... other things can always be adapted to stay within your budget.
